We are currently looking to recruit a

General Manager (m/f/x) - Middle East & Africa

to be located in Dubai.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of commercial business operations in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) including sales, marketing, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, safety and finance business partner in alignment with function.
  • The role is leading a cross-functional organization to deliver on the short and long-term business objectives of sustainable revenue growth in MEA while managing all related business risks in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, Industry Codes we well as CSL Code of Responsible Business Practice("CSL Code") and CSL policies and procedures.
  • Primary objective of the role is delivering on revenue while managing expense and investment targets by optimizing the value for CSLB from all partnership in MEA markets.
  • This position will be accountable for creating and executing a viable commercial strategy whilst ensuring future sustainable growth and enhancing CSLB position by supporting strategic business development projects and building direct CSLB presence in new strategic markets as appropriate over time.
  • The role is legal representative of CSLB in UAE.
Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
  • University degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration, Pharmacy, Economics, CPA, Medical or Biological
  • Master's degree in an industry-related field (business/scientific) is a plus
  • Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial leadership positions
  • 10 years' experience in a multi-national, innovative pharmaceutical business
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Proven track record as a leader of cross-functional teams and their development
  • Experience in oversight and/or exposure to enabling functions in addition to sales (regulatory, pharmacovigilance, marketing, medical and finance) considered a plus
  • Experience in working in the MEA region for at least 5 years
