External Quality Specialist, Cairo - Danone

As an External Quality Specialist, you will be leading quality upstream activities through supplier’s homologation management as per Danone Systems and criteria to ensure product process compliance with all required standards. Also managing Danone Co-manufacturing sites in Greater Cairo to ensure compliance to quality and release criteria.

About the job

• Accountable on Suppliers homologation management as per Danone systems through conducting auditing for

1. Raw & Pack new Suppliers assessment. (Homologation process ).
2. Current suppliers for evolution according to Danone criteria & suppliers’ audit plan.

• Accountable on Product Quality @ R&D trial stage

1. Work closely with the C&P, R&D & marketing teams to ensure vendors being considered for new innovations & potential suppliers of new material types are identified, screened and approved early in the innovation process to support launch timelines while properly mitigating risk.
2. Regularly attend activity management for new projects to ensure smooth supplier homologation procedure.
3. Work closely with FS team to ensure new introduced materials are in full compliance with Danone FS standards and FSV are completed in order not to introduce any risk to manufacturing site.

• Accountable on Suppliers Quality Performance management as per Danone systems

1. Effectively communicate progress on supplier’s homologation KPIs to key CBU/Central stakeholders to Support the governance of the homologation process and drive to further improve homologation compliance through KPIs measurements.
2. Provide Quality & Food Safety technical guidance & support to suppliers & assessing their Quality & Food Safety systems to comply with homologation requirements & develop their capabilities.

• Accountable on Suppliers Quality Performance management as per Danone systems

1. Effectively communicate progress on supplier’s homologation KPIs to key CBU/Central stakeholders to Support the governance of the homologation process and drive to further improve homologation compliance through KPIs measurements.
2. Provide Quality & Food Safety technical guidance & support to suppliers & assessing their Quality & Food Safety systems to comply with homologation requirements & develop their capabilities.

• Co-Man Greater Cairo Management

1. Follow up on Supplier and CO-MAN action plan
2. Visit and Manage realease of finished product for new co-man
3. Hanlding all complaints related to co-man and conduct investigation
4. Follow up on trending of product quality attribute results for co-man

• Reporting System for the upstream quality activities.

1. Sharing on Africa call agenda (monthly call occurred in attendance of all top-quality management of Africa and stakeholders to review the quality KPI’s in month bases).
2. Managing the upstream quality KPI’s through Dashboard monthly report.
3. Set upstream quality objectives and ensure their fulfillment.

About you

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

• Bachelor of Science in any discipline or related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Suppliers Audit preferable, Labs, Quality Control or Quality Assurance
• Accountable and Decisive

• Agile
