Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals in Egypt is currently looking for a Therapeutic Area Manager reporting to the cluster Marketing Director with the role based in Cairo
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION
  • Develop and implement the strategic marketing goals in coordination with the management to grow the long term sales, profit and market share position for assigned TA to meet business & cluster’s short and long-term objectives.
  • Manage operational and daily marketing execution activities for the affiliate’s Product Managers.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of marketing objectives, strategies, advertising and promotion and ensure their execution of the assigned TA throughout the cluster. 
  • Develop, when applicable, implement and update product training to sales force on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate introduction and launch of new products i.e. product design, costs, registration, trademarks, clinical programs, market research, P&L, material management, and affiliate training.
  • Forecast product requirements, identify potential supply issues, and develop contingency plans.
  • Participate in planning sales promotion and advertising in support of existing products, and support the Marketing Director in determining market strategies and sales tactics to achieve TA objectives.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with the relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards. Review complaints and suggestions relating to assigned TA.
  • Contribute to the achievement of margin and market share annual goals.
  • Monitor competitors’ promo, pricing, product positioning and marketing moves by product / business segment as well as their product line performance and institute corrective action as needed.
  • Strategic Brand Planning: Coordinate the annual Strategic Brand Planning process and deliverables for the Affiliate and Brand Teams.
  • Improve contacts with key accounts: identify opportunities for corporate marketing and cultivate as appropriate.
  • Manage, develop and guide the affiliate’s Product managers to execute the set strategic plans of all TAs.
  •    Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION REQUIRED:
  • University Degree in Pharmaceutical Science/Human or Vet  Medicine/General Science
  • Min 5 years experience in Sales or Marketing within the Pharma Industry.
  • Strong sales track record.
  • Analytical minded, good in time management and capable of following-up different tasks at the same time
  • Sound understanding and qualifications in marketing related principles (including digital marketing and Trade).
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer based programs including spreadsheets and graphics.
  • Multitask oriented.
  • Need to be confident in communicating in English
