Then an Associate R&D Scientist role in the GPS function is what you are looking for!

In R&D, we have opportunities in a variety of technical fields like: Product Research, Process Development, Raw Material Development, Packaging Development, Analytics, Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs in the areas of Beauty Care, Hair Care, Perfume, Chemicals, Home Care and Personal Health Care.

Global Product Stewardship is an R&D function that is responsible for regulatory compliance of P&G products with global, regional and local laws & regulations, as well as, ensuring that P&G products are safe and perceived as safe to Consumers and Environment. Regulatory compliance involves all activities necessary to ensure that products are registered with meaningful Authorities where required and that their formulation & label are compliant to the applicable laws and regulations.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own compliance of all P&G products in Africa

Use P&G local partners to capture regulatory information from expansion markets in Africa

Build P&G knowledge of regulatory requirements in Africa

Guide internal technical teams on the regulatory landscape in Africa and pinpoint the best strategy to achieve regulatory compliance

Liaise with R&D functions to assess products’ formula & label compliance with requirements in target markets and compile technical dossier

Use P&G partners to execute product registration with local Authorities

Represent the Regulatory Affairs team in product launch teams and advise on the best approach to deliver new projects in full regulatory-compliance

Ensure timely communication and full regulatory clearance for new projects

Work with governmental agencies in Africa to develop local regulations directly and/or through local partners The role may require frequent travel to several destinations in Africa.

QUALIFICATIONS
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A minimum of Scientific Bachelor’s degree (Life Science or Pharmaceutical).

Excellent communications skills, able to work well with Governmental agencies and business partners

Ability to work effectively and build relations with external counterparts in different geographies, nationalities and cultures

Passion for excellent execution and follow-through

Proficiency in Arabic and English both written and spoken is a must

THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE A PHENOMENAL PLUS FOR THIS ROLE:
Technical Master's degree

Proficiency in the French and/or Spanish Language

Previous regulatory experience or work with governmental agencies
